The #1 reason I love living in our new condo looking out at the Lake? You guessed it ... the sunsets I see from our balcony!
The top photo is the original taken less than a week ago (no color enhancement at all). I decided to play with some actions in Photoshop Lightroom to see what I could come up with. I didn't want to take away for the beauty of the sunset, but see what the same sunset might have looked like if I had used various vintage cameras (2nd. photo - Holga, 3rd. photo - Polaroid, 4th. photo - Film camera).

ReplyDeleteVicki! sigh. I am jealous of this!! In this case, I have to say the first and natural one is my fave, simply because the colors were so naturally beautiful and glowy. Second fave is the polaroid processing. It has a vintage feel without taking too much away from the whole image. The blue tint of it also makes it look a bit later in the dusk. Happy Halloween! :P Mary

ReplyDeleteTo me, it's the first and the last one! Because of the bright colours and the warmth of the evening light they are revealing. Must be lovely to have a view like this. I wouldn't be without my camera for a moment if I were you :p
ReplyDeleteWow, now that's a view I could get used to. What a beautiful sunset! And you know what, I actually think the unedited top photo is the best. All the colours have been captured so beautifully it really doesn't need any enhancement.
