Hi! Welcome to my small corner on the web! My name is Vicki Dvorak. I'm a photographer, artist, and blogger from Seattle, Washington. I began Simply Hue in March 2009 when I was unable to work a 9-5 job due to a couple of chronic illnesses (this condition along with this one). I needed some way to earn a little extra money from home so I started my own color consulting business. What a blast that was! For 2 years I had the privilege of going into people's homes and helping them choose paint colors for their walls...an easy, fairly low-stress job.Originally Simply Hue was going to be a blog completely about COLOR in the hopes that I would draw potential customers, but it wasn't long before I discovered the many rewards of blogging! I made friends from all around the world and discovered my passion for photography. Over the past few years I've had the honor of featuring so many talented artists, photographers, and designers and in 2011 I wrote and taught my first creativity e-course, Raining Umbrellas. I put a lot of heart and soul into writing it and it really is my baby in a certain sense.
