Artist ~ Emma SanCartier Illustration

Her Website ~ Emma San Cartier Illustration

Emma SanCartier is a published illustrator of children's books. Her illustrations are whimsical and magical! Published credits of Emma SanCartier include The World Is Your Oyster. Here's a short description of the book:

"What do you do when your world is raining cats and dogs, you're up to your neck in alligators, and all you want to do is bury your head in the sand? When children read this empowering book of animal idioms illustrated in gorgeous, vibrant watercolors, they learn new ways to express themselves. This playful book teaches the complexities of language - and that's straight from the horse's mouth!..."

Emma has her own unique and original style. It's so fun and imaginative! I've always wanted to write or illustrate a children's book and it's so inspirational to see someone who is a published children's illustrator.

What do YOU appreciate about Emma's work?

  1. Beautiful! Maybe this comes to mind because I just finished watching the new Tori Amos concert DVD (and I'm a bit obsessed with Tori's music) but these illustrations immediately brought to mind the following Tori songs (in order of illustration): Mr. Bad Man, The Beekeeper, Merman, Take to the Sky. Probably a long shot, but I wonder if Emma is a fan :)

  2. Wow, she's brilliant! Her illustrations are so vibrant and alive!!

  3. I appreciate the spirit and boldness of her drawings.

  4. i love the last image, & how thoughtful everything is!!!

i hope you're feeling well!!! sending precious thoughts

p.s since its winter here i might sit this challenge out :) lots of loveliness!!!

  5. The way she portrays things is totally unexpected but exactly right!

Thanks so much for your comments. Your thoughts, opinions, and ideas are important to me!
