"I Create" with Irena Sophia
Irena's Shop ~ Irena Sophia Art Studio, Her Profile on Etsy ~ Irena Sophia
"I create.....every one of my drawings have a personal story behind them. It does not have to be a particular narrative, rather a certain mood, a glimpse. Sometimes lost memories resurface and I try to express transitory experience of it. It is at the same time complicated and simple. I, on purpose, keep things minimal not to interfere with the observer's own associations or emotions. Emotions are important to me to have certain purity and simplicity. Inner silence is important to me as in it there is a room for so much life.
I love.....I love to draw. I always carry a notebook and pencils. I love gardening and nature.
I dream.....I rather have a very simple dream, to be happy with the people I love deeply."

Thankyou, Irena! This was beautiful and inspiring.

ReplyDeleteThe simplicity in her illustrations is so beautiful! This part of her interview really struck me about how there is a story behind every piece: "It does not have to be a particular narrative, rather a certain mood, a glimpse." It's how I feel but, have not found the right words to express it and here she did it so wonderfully.
