Monday Morning Inspiration

Good morning! Hope your Monday doesn't feel like a typical Monday. I've already been out and about taking my husband to his dental surgery, mailing things at the post office, and running a couple more errands. Today will be a short post but I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you before I tackle my long "to do" list today.

So, with the new year here, do you have any goals? Here are a few of mine. Concerning "Simply Hue" I want to 1. Write more from my heart 2. Support other bloggers by commenting on their posts 3. Feature even more talented artists, photographers and designers in 2010, and 4. Blog more consisitantly. Somehow I've gotten out of the habit over the last couple of months and I need to get myself in gear again. ;)

As for personal goals, here are my three main ones: 1. Take "excellent" care of my health. That means making my physical, emotional, and spiritual needs top priority. I even want to pick up some hand weights this year, which isn't my favorite form of exercise. I love aerobic type exercise, but it takes great effort for me to lift weights 2. Nurture friendships/relationships that are important to me 3. Don't sweat the small stuff (or as an elderly lady I met at the dentist's office said to me this morning "Don't sweat the small stuff OR the big stuff!")

O.k. YOUR turn! What are a couple of YOUR goals for the new year?

  1. Hi Vicki,
    I love this photograph.

I have to say that I share the first couple of blogging goals too :-). And since I have way too many interests (I joke that I have creative ADD) I've listed out my top three (acrylics, watercolors and photography). I am hoping to find some time to get to each of these and for the rest just go with the flow.

  2. Good for you, Amisha! Great goals to have. I'd love to see some of your work sometime. :)

  3. pretty photo and your goals are inspiring!

  4. I love reading goals from other creative types. It's so inspiring to know that other folks struggle with the same stuff I do!

Some of my goals for this year include getting my new blog off the ground and finally launching my prints/greeting cards shop (that i've only been trying to do for 2-3 years!)

  5. Thanks, Christy. :)

Ooh, can't wait to see your new shop, Liz! I know what you mean about reading the goals of other creative people. I should have added "staying organized"!. lol. Thanks for sharing your goals. :)

  6. Those are wonderful goals and some of them I should take upon myself! I have a few aspirations for my blog too, like featuring more Etsy shoppes, and being supportive of new blogs that I come across! It seems to me you have already done well with some of your goals...your friendship to me has been wonderful! Happy Monday!

  7. I admire your goals and love your image with a beautiful message!

My major goal this year is to simplify and find balance. Our house is small for our family of five and I need to de-clutter and organize so that we fit more comfortably. And last but not least...learn more about photography & processing...I'm such a beginner. :)

  8. This is definitely one of new favorites of yours! Beautiful! Loving your goals as well. I need to make some for me. :)

  9. focus and discipline... in matters of health and creative endeavors.

Thanks so much for your comments. Your thoughts, opinions, and ideas are important to me!
