Food, food, food!

Can you tell by the title of this post that I love my food? ;) I don't think I'm the only one either, because I've noticed that blogs with FOOD as the main topic are extremely popular! I've listed a couple of well-known food blogs below and then a couple newer sites that are gaining in momentum fast. Here are a few of my favorites:

My Wings are Made of Faith (images above) ~ I met Christy, the blog editor of My Wings are Made of Faith, a couple of months ago through blogging. Her blog is packed with lovely photos, inspiration, and delectable recipes! Here's one she sent me to share with all of you today. Don't eat this one, though, it's an Oatmeal Apple Cider Facial Mask. ;) Recipe from The Green Beauty Guide.

"This easy-to-make and wonderfully inexpensive mask doubles as a quick scrub and a deep cleansing treatment. Apple cider vinegar, rich in tannins and fruit acids, helps fade post-acne brown spots and soothe active inflamed blemishes.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons raw plain oats

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (preferably organic)

1 drop tea tree oil

Method:

Grind the oats into a uniform paste and add the rest of ingredients. Blend until smooth.

Add tea tree oil and blend more.

You can scrub your face with this mask or apply it to a clean face to dry. Avoid the eye area.

Leave the mask on for about 15 minutes and wash off with lots of tepid water.

You have to use up the whole batch at once; this mask doesn’t store well."

TARTELETTE (images above) ~ This is a gorgeous, mouthwatering site and is very popular with readers due to the beautiful photo styling of the blog editor herself, Helen. Helen wears many hats including Food Stylist & Photographer, Food Writer, Recipe Developer, and Teacher. For more eye candy visit her lovely blog.

FRESH 365 (images above) ~ With a focus on health and nutrition, Fresh 365 offers a collection of vegetarian recipes using fresh, organic, and seasonal products. I have an interiew with Erin, the editor of this delicious site, coming up in the next couple of weeks!

I don't have any images for these last three, but you can find plenty of them when you visit their sites!

SPARKLING INK ~ An inspiring lifestyle blog with tantelizing recipes galore! The photos are beautiful and the format is friendly and personal. The blog editor is a "developing home chef" and a media professional living in Finland.

Sunday Suppers ~ A collaberation of two friends, Kasie and Karen, they offer a class-cooking-dining experience, pairing food and friends.

Canelle et Vanille ~ A popular food site loaded with beautiful images and exquisite recipes. You'll definitely want to set aside some time to browze through this one! Do you have a favorite food blog or even an Autumn recipe you would like to share? Feel free to leave it in the comment section or send me an email at matissecolor@gmail.com. Enjoy your day! :)
