This Venice Beach Eco-cottage uses NEUTRAL COLORS as a background with splashes of BOLDER COLOR throughout. Traditionally, cottage style homes have a lighter color scheme but, as you can see in the first cottage we looked at, you can also incorporate bright bold hues.....it's really a matter of preference. The brighter colors give a cottage a more updated, contemporary feel. Just be sure and bring in some time-worn pieces if you want vintage appeal.
