COLORFUL WORLD - MARE & FOAL

Photo found here!

Good morning!  Happy Monday to you!  How was your weekend?  Hope you feel refreshed for the week ahead.  I haven't felt too great the last few days but did manage to spend some time with THIS BEAUTIFUL GUY yesterday.  He's for sale right now, but if he doesn't sell within the next couple of weeks, I'll be able to lease him.  I don't know what it is, but the older I get the more I love horses.  Something about their wild beauty and strength draws me to them.  The horse in the video was so gentle and affectionate.  Crossing my fingers that it will work out.  ;)

If you look to the right you'll see I've listed my new daily themes for Simply Hue.  I felt like I needed something fresh to inspire me to blog more consistently.  My goal is to blog five days a week and to keep my daily posts short and sweet.  We'll see if this helps!

The Daily Themes are:
  • Monday - Colorful World - I'll post a photo along with the color swatches that match it.
  • Tuesday - I Could Live Here - I'll post photos of homes I love.
  • Wednesday - Want, Need, Gotta Have - This one is self-explanatory.  ;)
  • Thursday - Handmade By - I'll feature products created by talented artists and designers
  • Friday - Lately - I'll catch you up on what I've been up to or interesting things I've discovered.

Hope you enjoy the new format!  xo

  1. Nice themes Vicki, they are a perfect fit for your blog! And the new layout is lovely. Congrats! I love today's photo - foals are the funniest guys. Let us know if it worked out with the horse you want to lease, he's beautiful! A real Arab - I always wanted one of those... sigh... =D
Hope you feel better now Vicki!

    1. Thank you, Trud. :) So nice to hear from you again!

I had a feeling you loved horses, too. And we both like Arabs! :)

  2. Vicki, I love the new blog design! Also, I think you are smart to do the days of the week take on blogging. It's often difficult to keep up...and that is a brilliant thought! I hope you feel better soon, and that you have the chance to enjoy horses more and more...they have a certain gentle grounded feel don't they...
    Prayers for sunshine and health,
    T.

  3. Vicki, I enjoyed both the photo AND the video. A dear blogging friend of mine owns two horses (she rides them in shows), so over the years I've become a big horse fan!

I know I'm new to your blog, but I have to say that I really like your idea of posting themes throughout the week. Looking forward to it!

Btw, last night I took a peek at your Esty Shop and loved it. Wonderful photographs and very reasonably priced!

Hope you're feeling better, dear lady!

    1. Hi Ron! So impressed that you watched the video! I'm envious of your friend. I've always wanted to own a horse, but for now I'll be content with leasing. ;)

Thank you for visiting my Etsy shop and for your kind comments about my photos. I have so much fun with photography...it's very therapeutic for me.

Have a great day! I'm off to visit your wonderful blog. :)

  4. Love the idea of color swatches that are in the photo. If I was still painting, it would be tremendously useful for color choices!!

The horse and foal are amazing. I'm always wowed at how they interact. I've never seen a foal with its legs over the adult horses neck.

    1. Thanks, Donna! I'm happy to know that an artist thought of using my color swatches for a painting. :)

I know ... aren't horses just the most beautiful animal? xx
