I COULD LIVE HERE - A NATURAL HOME

Good morning!  Wish I could get these photos a little bit bigger ...I  tried and they lost their quality.  Oh, well.  ;)

Anyways, just wanted to show you some great photos I found HERE and HERE illustrating bringing the outdoors into your home.  I'm trying to create a modern rustic style for our new condo but I'm finding that, although I appreciate modern style, I need to bring more rustic and vintage objects into our home.  I think homes can look a little stale or generic when everything's brand new. That's just my opinion, of course.  ;)

I'm a huge nature fan (my Dad was a forest ranger and instilled in me a real love for it) and I'm making it a goal to add more natural elements to our home .... plants, shells, pine cones, rocks, driftwood, etc.

Are you a nature lover like me?  How have you expressed it in your home?

  1. Love the idea of nature and rustic bits in a home, it's what I spent most of last summer adding to my house and I like living here so much more now. Hope you are settling in happily Vicki and enjoying the summer!

  2. Lovely photo share, Vicki! I love the rustic and natural look to these rooms.

Yet, even though I live in city, I LOVE nature. It's odd, I prefer living in a city because of the conveniences (like, not needing a car and walking everywhere), but I also feel extremely comfortable in a country setting.

The way I bring in nature to my city apartment is by using natural stones/river rocks, tree branches in vases, and various other natural elements which I place around my apartment; giving me a feeling of connecting to nature.

Hope you had a terrific Tuesday, dear lady!
