Something Special in My Mailbox.....

I'm always a little hesitant to post things like this on my blog because I don't want to appear vain or prideful, but I'm excited to share some news with you! A few months back I was contacted by an Italian book publisher asking if they could use my "Sewing Things" photo for a book cover. Well, yesterday my own lovely copy arrived in the mail. So exciting (and a little surreal)! In Italian the book is titled "Appuntamento a Glenmara" and in the United States it's titled "The Lacemakers of Glemara". You can find the English version (with a different cover image) on Amazon.com. :)

    I read the Lace Makers when it was first published! I worked at an Indie bookshop at the time and got my hands on a galley. Congratulations to you, Vicki! What a thrill! And to think I "know" you!

    I read this yesterday but got side-tracked before I could write anything. I'm so glad your art is being recognized for it's value and originality and that so many more people will see it!
