Good morning! How was your weekend? Ours was really full and nice. On Saturday (or was it Friday?) I went to a cooking class with my Mom. We learned several new ways to cook squash and got to sample it all...woo hoo! The young girl that taught the class was so enthusiastic and sweet. Here's her website if you want to see some of the recipes she taught us. I especially loved her butternut squash soup! It had kind of an "herby" taste, where mine usually turns out a little on the sweet side. After seeing all of her great looking food photos, I think I might try to take a few photos of recipes I put together. So stay tuned! No promises on how attractive they'll look though. ;)
O.k., so here's this weeks creative challenge!
WHATS IN MY KIT?
By "kit" I mean your creative kit. Do you sew? What's in your sewing kit? Are you a photographer? What's in your camera bag? Are you an artist? What tools do you use? The challenge is going to be how to set your tools up in an eyepleasing way. The photo above of the buttons, thread, and scizzors is an example of a few items I put together and photographed. I'm sure you can come up with something much more interesting and creative. :)
O.k., show us what's in your creative kit!
xo
Ohh this is a great one Vicky!!! And I adore your photo with all the cute colorful buttons!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday!
Now this?!?! This I think I can partake in...see ya soon. I am "a painter!" I dare NOT say artist. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've followed you for awhile - love your blog! You wake up my creativity many days. I'm a photographer who uses Nikon cameras and lenses. My favorite lens is my Nikon 85mm f1.8 but I'm also low-tech too - iphone, Diana, Holga - love to be surprised by what I end up getting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, Cathy. I'm glad to hear you feel inspired when you visit. :) I'd love to see some of your Diana/Holga photos!
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant idea! Currently my "kit" is a cup with my pencils, sharpeners, and erasers in it for drawing. Plus other random oddments I can cram in. Not very pleasing or inspiring, I must say.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki, the squash soup recipe looks awesome! I'll try it this week. The hubby will love it! :)
ReplyDeleteMy kit: drawing board, t-square ruler, drafting tools... all of which I kind of hate right now so no Kodak moments for them.
Ooh, great challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a LOVELY blog you have! Your photography style is gorgeous. So good to meet you in class, you're super sweet!
